TITLE: Off-shell supersymmetry and filtered Clifford supermodules
ABSTRACT In the Geometric Analysis seminar a few weeks ago, I gave a talk with the same title in which I described the physics behind “off-shell supersymmetry”. In this talk, I discuss the algebraic side, proving the equivalence between representations of the super Poincare algebra on spaces of fields and formal deformations of filtered Clifford supermodules. I will review some of Gerstenhaber’s work on deformations of filtered rings and algebras, and show how it can be used in the supersymmetric context to attack a fundamental and long-standing problem of supersymmetric field theory.
