The director of Graduate Studies this year is Alexander Polishchuk. You should get in touch with Alex if you have mathematical questions about our graduate program, or technical questions about the mathematical prerequisites needed before you apply.
The chair of the appointments committee this year is Peter Gilkey. This is the committee that reviews all graduate applications and makes recommendations to the department head. The head of the department is Hal Sadofsky. Hal makes the final decisions about which applicants are offered positions and GTFs. You should not normally need to get in touch with either Peter or Hal, but they may well contact you to discuss your application in more detail.
